Volume 17
January 12, 2005Hello, everyone.
It's been a while since the last volume of The Ally Report, but there hasn't been much new to report. Allyson spent the final month of her stint in Sudan primarily working on field visits to villages outside Garsila, helping the people of those villages with a variety of medical problems.
But mostly, I think, she's been thinking about coming home, which brings me to the real subject of this edition: As of today, Allyson officially is out of Africa. She got to Amsterdam today, will arrive in New York this weekend (where I'll be meeting her). After a daylong debrief meeting in New York next Monday, we come home. And then, I'll get to witness the reuniting of Allyson and Chester, which is sure to be a joyous occasion.
Also, there will be a welcome-home party for her on Saturday, January 29, at 7 p.m., here at our house, 242 Elizabeth Street, Atlanta. If you can make it, please click here to RSVP.
It's gonna be a grand occasion, I have no doubt.
Until the party,
Chuck
